In April of 2007 from our second story glass enclosed wildlife observatory (overlooking the Puget Sound) we saw a pair of whales approaching. We were visited by a Mother Whale and her Yearling for over forty-five minutes while they were having a late breakfast on the local seafood in shallow waters. This amazing experience solved the dilemma of what to name our vacation house... "The Whale's Tale". We are sure you will not need our new LCD TV during daylight hours as there is so much Sea-Life activity to watch from our great room or observatory (plus enjoy views of the Cascade Mountains) through the many large windows that span the whole back of the house. At night time you will take pleasure in the sparkling city lights across the Sound. We are newer owners of "The Whale's Tale" and are capturing the job of a life-long dream to live waterfront. We found the house irresistible with an extra large Great room/Kitchen which has full view of the gas fireplace. A Utility room is off the kitchen with washer, dryer and service sink. Our "FISH" bedroom downstairs has twin beds and it's own bath. Down the hall there is a bathroom next to the great room with a jet tub (4 baths in all). The huge master suite overlooking the Sound has a king bed, fireplace, bathroom and doorway to the wildlife observatory. The large "SAIL BOAT" room also has a king bed and is waterfront. The hall bath is shared by this bedroom and the 4th bedroom, "The Shell Room" which has twin beds. All of this bundled into a secluded wooded area that takes you away from the hurry-scurry of the everyday life with only a Ferry boat ride back into reality. We know you will enjoy your stay at the "Whale's Tale" which will feel like a home away from home. This home requires a 3 night minimum.
