Sitting only a few yards from Whidbey Island’s beautiful Honeymoon Bay, the Golden Maple House is an enchanting seaside vacation retreat with the privacy of 125 feet of no-bank waterfront, tideland, and a drop dead gorgeous view. This spacious but cozy home (2500 square feet) has three bedrooms, two baths and is comfortable for six people. The new glass entry door offers spectacular views of the charming boat house and pier that jut into Holmes Harbor. The great room features the historic original river stone fireplace incorporating sea motifs, and a cathedral ceiling with windows that provide a feeling of openness and natural light whatever the weather. Gather around the gas fireplace or choose the entertainment area with a 37” flat panel LCD TV. On the water side, a sweeping deck with portico provides plenty of seating room, views of sunrise, Mt. Baker and sailboats moored in the bay. A second deck on the west side offers privacy and afternoon sun. The fully-equipped gourmet kitchen includes a gas range, Bosch dishwasher, plenty of wine glasses, and abundant counter space including a breakfast bar. The bright dining area overlooks the bay and features some of the many original posters and art in the home. The white wicker master bedroom features a queen-sized Tempurpedic mattress and a bay window on the sound. Open to the public, the Holmes Harbor Golf Club with its excellent restaurant is less than two miles away, and the house is perfect for kayakers with its own launch area. Furnished stylishly but casually.
